Have been awake since 5.15— waited for the sun to gain the horizontal stripes from the blinds. Still yawning. Operating habitually. Working on personal art projects and listening to Aaron Copland on the radio.

This will be my fourth day without taking medication, and so far the left eye remains almost normal. Slight red, puffiness. The doctor will run allergy tests Wednesday morning, pricking along my back to see what bothers my system, a trail of needle marks.
