day 17 || diptych || kudzu

day 22 || diptych || a clean sweep

By nature I am not neat. I prefer expressive, textured, painterly lines. Erosion, rust, rot, decay appeal to me. Dust, in general is an expected result of living.

But today, after a series of cloudy, sunless mornings, the sun shone heavy through the windows. I took one look at the floor and actually shuddered. A film of dirt coated everything. The cleaning muse possessed me: table and chairs were moved to the side of the room, small rugs sent outdoors, and the dry mop hastily rushed out of the closet.

All because I wanted to capture images of the morning sunlight angling through the blinds. --at least I managed to map out before hand the setting for the resulting photos.
