day 14 || diptych || infection

The camera does not show the intensity, but the infection in my left eye swells up again; since Memorial Day it ranges in size. Some mornings I wake up and look like a South American frog, all red and bubble-eyed. The doctor yesterday gave me a shift in medicines. She said she couldnt understand why only the left side of my face is affected. Looks like an eye specialist is in order.

Makes me wonder what "cures" would have been used in the past histories of humankind. Did a majority of the public walk around with open sores, tumors, and allergic swellings before modern medicine?
